德彪西的《大海》(La Mer) 和斯特拉文斯基的《春之祭》(The Rite of Spring)，被认为是20世纪最有影响力的两部作品，尽管这个成就是通过完全不同的方式实现的。俄罗斯钢琴家弗拉基米尔·莱耶奇基斯(Vladimir Leyetchkiss, 1934-2016)对斯特拉文斯基的钢琴二重奏《春之祭》进行了钢琴独奏版本的改编，得到了作曲家们的认可。而吕西安·加班(Lucien Garban，1877-1959)， 从德彪西的作曲角度进行分析，并以同一时期的《图像》等作品为原型，重新诠释了德彪西的《大海》，将其改变为了钢琴独奏版本。

拉尔夫·范·拉特 (Ralph van Raat)，施坦威艺术家之一。 曾在阿姆斯特丹音乐学院, 跟随顿·哈苏克 (Ton Hartsuiker)和威廉·布朗斯 (Willem Brons) 学习音乐演奏和音乐学。随后，拉特又继续在巴黎、美国、芬兰、克隆等地继续深造，分别师从克劳德·赫尔弗（Claude Helffer）、厄休拉·奥本斯（Ursula Oppens）、莉萨·波赫拉（Liisa Pohjola）和皮埃尔·洛朗·艾玛德（Pierre-Laurent Aimard）。拉特赢得了多个国际大奖以及奖学金。作为独奏家，他一直活跃在欧洲乃至世界各地，合作过的乐团包括伦敦小交响乐团，英国广播公司交响乐团，鹿特丹爱乐乐团，荷兰广播爱乐乐团和广播室内乐团，法兰克福广播交响乐团，奥胡斯交响乐团和多特蒙德爱乐乐团等等。其合作过的指挥家数不胜数，比如瓦列里·杰基耶夫（Valery Gergiev），乔安·法雷塔（JoAnn Falletta），大卫·罗伯逊（David Robertson），斯特凡·阿斯伯里（Stefan Asbury）等等。此外，拉特作为Naxos的签约艺术家，录制发行了许多唱片，基本都是当代或20世纪作曲家的作品。
